2017/2018 SEASON

2017/18: After an incredible debut season the team now switches its focus onto season four, beginning in Hong Kong this December. With new cities added to the schedule, and with the unveiling of the new I‑TYPE 2, Jaguar's second year of racing promises to be the best one yet.

HONG KONG, 02.12.17

Season Four is already off to an electrifying start. Returning to the streets of Hong Kong, the team secured their first points of the year with Nelson Piquet Jr. battling his way to an impressive fourth place finish.

HONG KONG, 03.12.17

Hong Kong’s second race of the season saw Panasonic Jaguar Racing earning a couple of team firsts. The most significant was a first ever podium when Mitch finished in third place. The other came when Mitch recorded the fastest qualifying time earlier in the day.

MARRAKESH, 13.01.18

Not only did Nelson finish in an impressive fourth place, he also secured the VISA fastest lap in the process. In just his third appearance he’s already proving to be a valuable asset, helping move the team into fourth place in the standings.

SANTIAGO, 03.02.18

The team secured another impressive points haul with both drivers fighting their way to a top 10 finish. Battling it out from race start to end, Nelson finished in 6th and Mitch 7th at the inaugural ABB FIA Formula E Santiago E-Prix.

MEXICO CITY, 03.03.18

In a week that saw Jaguar unveil the long-awaited all-electric I‑PACE to the world, Panasonic Jaguar Racing was determined not to be out-done in Mexico City with their record points haul. Nelson narrowly missed the podium in 4th while Mitch battled heroically from 12th place to finish 6th.

PUNTA DEL ESTE, 17.03.18

Penalties, crashes and nail-biting action. This past weekend’s race had it all. Showing true grit, Mitch raced his way from a P16 start to finish P4, earning crucial team points. Unfortunately for Nelson a technical issue forced him to retire before the end of the race.

ROME, 14.04.18

The team came within striking distance of a win with Mitch at one point running in P2. Though narrowly missing out on a podium finish, he did collect 2 points, adding to the team’s already record-setting season.

PARIS, 28.04.18

The team endured a challenging weekend of racing suffering from both mechanical setbacks and on track incidents. However, despite not recording any points, the team did come away with valuable data to help them lead the charge going into Berlin.

BERLIN, 19.05.18

The team is back in the hunt after securing 8 points in Berlin. Despite suffering a communications issue, Mitch finished in sixth place after a hard fought battle. Nelson put on a show demonstrating incredible overtaking ability and just narrowly missed out on a top ten finish.

ZURICH, 10.06.18

This historic race weekend got off to a momentous start with Mitch securing the team’s first ever pole position. And despite starting strong, a Full Course Yellow saw him penalised along with several others, and ultimately finishing 7th earning 3 points. The team STILL sits 5th overall heading to New York.

NEW YORK CITY, 14.07.18

Day one of the double-header weekend saw the best ever team-qualifying finishes. Mitch showed flashes of brilliance en route to a P2 qualifying, while Nelson also impressed qualifying in P6. Unfortunately, when it came to the race, technical issues forced both drivers to retire early.

NEW YORK CITY, 15.07.18

The team ended season four in true Jaguar style with both drivers recording valuable points. Mitch finished P6 and Nelson P7 bringing the team total to 119 points, for 6th overall in the standings. With testing for Season 5 already under way the team is getting ready to unleash the Jaguar I‑TYPE 3s come December.

MONTREAL, 28.07.18

As the last race weekend of the season the Hydro-Québec Montréal E-Prix track has been described by some racers as one of the most challenging circuits to navigate. With blind turns and up and downhill sections, the driver that maintains their composure will be the one who comes out on top.

MONTREAL, 29.07.18

As the final race of the FIA Formula E season, the team will be pushing their skills to the limit aiming for a podium finish to end the year on a high note.
