Dua Lipa is a remarkable new talent in the music scene. Her pop single, Want To, created exclusively for The Pace Season One with Jaguar - is already the most remixed track in history. Entering entirely new territory with this partnership, technology was deployed to create music in a new way.

A dedicated international team of music producers, composers, software engineers and data analysts created a bespoke remix engine that allows fans to create their very own, unique, data-driven version of the track.

To do so, Feel for Music, a London-based music consulting company, took the original track, broke it down into its individual parts and then created a number of genre-specific version of each piece. An example might be the drum beats; reggae, indie, or minimal tech version. The result was a soundbank of 3,600 audio segments, known as ‘stems’, which, when recombined create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind track.

Nick Hill, Lead Composer, said “I think ultimately technology and innovation is what drives the music, and I think the success of this PACE project is a real testament to that. There were so many interesting variations that every [remix] something fresh, something exciting, will happen”.

Music fans, technology aficionados and Jaguar enthusiasts are able to interact with the remix platform using a web app to create their exclusive remixes. The project is a keystone in the series of Jaguar events across Europe, called The Pace Season One, which celebrate PACE family models, the E-PACE, F-PACE and I-PACE. Jaguar I-PACE is the world’s first all-electric performance SUV, with zero tailpipe emissions and acceleration from 0-100km/h in only 4.8 seconds.
